Hello, I’m Pietro Venier
I am an European director and screenwriter native from Trieste, Italy.
After high school, I moved to Rome in order to pursue my passion for cinema. There, I graduated with honors in DAMS (Disciplines of Arts, Music and Drama) at the University of Roma Tre. In the meantime, I was also attending a practical School of Cinema, Sentieri Selvaggi, where I graduated at the same time in two multi-year courses: Screenwriting and Filmmaking. In Rome, I had also the possibility to work on various projects from documentaries to tv-series, mainly in the production department.
After that, I moved to Berlin, where I currently live. Here, I attended the “Master of Arts in Directing” at MetFilm School Berlin, a degree recognized also from West London University, and I graduated with the highest grade possible, Distinction. As a final project, I directed the short movie “The Hook”, entirely shot in my hometown, Trieste, with a half Italian and half international crew, composed mainly of students coming from MetFilm School Berlin.
Overall, I enjoy writing and telling stories, a passion that I pursued also becoming a certified journalist and I work professionally also as an Assistant Director and as a Production Assistant in various sets.
